Bose Krishnamachari was born in 1962 in Kerala. He is a BFA graduate of the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai and holds a Masters in Visual Arts from Goldsmith College, University of London. 
 
He is the recipient of many awards including the Kerala Lalit Kala Akademy Award, the Bombay Art Society Award and an international fellowship award from the Mid-America Arts Alliance (MAAA) for extensive travel and residency to the USA. 
 
He has held several solo shows and has been involved in group exhibitions both in India and abroad – some which include ‘Amuseum Memoirs’ at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai; ‘Transmemoir’ at Gallery Arts India in New York, and ‘India Oggi – Milano’ at Spazio Oberdan in Italy. 
 
In his work, he constantly explores the function cultural & personal history play and how these interplay with memory. 
 
Krishnamachari currently lives and works in Mumbai.
