Painter, Jignasha Ojha, was born in 1979 in Gujarat. She graduated from M.S. University of Baroda in 2001 and 2003 where she took a BFA and MFA in Painting.
She has received several scholarships including the Nasreen Mohammedi Scholarship as Best Student for an MA (2001) and a National Scholarship Award by the Indian Ministry of Culture (2004).
More recently, in 2007, she was the proud recipient of a Commonwealth Arts and Craft Award by London’s Commonwealth Foundation.
Some of the shows where Jignasha has exhibited her work include ‘Synonyms of a Woman’ at the Sarjan Art Gallery in Baroda (2005), ‘Unfolding Grace’ at A.B.S. Gallery in Baroda (2006), ‘Does Size Matter’ at the Gallery Art Konsult in Delhi (2007), and ‘Emerging India’ at the Henry Moore Gallery at the RCA in London (2007).
Some of her works are also in public and private collections in India and abroad (R.P.G Industries, Devi Art Foundation, Supreme Industries).
